Another Day Another Come Out: Frank Ocean Admits To Being Gay

Damn another brother! This week CNN anchor Anderson Cooper came out which I am sure many of us already suspected him of being gay. Now singer/songwriter Frank Ocean comes out via his tubmlr. The Odd Future member shared a letter that he had written back in December 27, 2011 regarding being in love with a man.

“4 summers ago, I met somebody.” He writes. “I was 19 years old. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide. Most of the day I’d see him, and his smile. Sleep I would often share with him. By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless. There was no escaping, no negotiating to the women I had been with, the ones I cared for and thought I was in love with.”

Since homophobia is huge in the hip-hop and the black communities. I wonder if this will affect his album sales. I hope not because he is DOPE. I’m happy that his fellow Odd Future member Tyler the Creator embraced him and went on twitter to say he was proud of him in a odd/rude way. But hey that's him. LMAO.
