THE RETURN: Air Jordan I KO High “Chicago” Drops Saturday 3/15

This weekend the classic "Chicago" Air Jordan I Retro KO High returns!! Originally released in 1985, this marks the sneaker's second retro release after 2010 saw this AJKO with a pre-yellowed midsole. This year's retro will not see the same vintage treatment, but maintains the AJKO's original form with its canvas construction, Nike Vandal tooling, black leather on the Swoosh and collar, and "Nike Air" branding on the tongue tab. The Air Jordan I Retro KO High "Chicago" will retail for $140 and releases on Nike.com and select Jordan Brand retailers this Saturday, March 15th.

Last night I attended the official launch party at Epitome, for The Girls Of Blaze Disc Collection. The collection is under the sneaker brand PUMA with Solange as the Artistic Director.

I've always been a fan of the PUMA brand and was excited to hear that Solange had joined the PUMA team. We all know that the kid sister of Beyonce' is super stylish and a creative monster. I've always felt PUMA was for the sneaker heads that like to take risk (non-hypebeast) and embrace the different.

The Girls Of Blaze Disc Collection include 4 designs: Rainforest, Burlap Rainbow, Tire and Dolphins.

Solange brought on 4 dope designers to bring heat to the PUMA brand for the ladies. Gerlan MarceL (not pictured), Hisham Akira Bharoocha and sisters Darlene and Lizzy Okpo. The laceless kick is a statement kick, from the design to the colors.

The event it self was POPPING!!! A nice location with a diverse group of Atl finest in the building. Epitome carries exculsive pieces more like a lifestyle boutique. Great music, tasty drinks, and dope giveaways. I would definitely call this a successful launch event. Shout out to Karla and Scott from PUMA. They Rock!! Head inside to see a few more pictures.

DOPE ALERT: Supreme x Vans 2013 Spring Summer Collection

This Spring, Supreme will release three styles of Vans — the SK8-Hi, the Chukka and the Era — utilizing original album artwork from New Order’s iconic 1983 release Power, Corruption & Lies. The album’s cover was designed by English art director Peter Saville and incorporates the 19th century painting “A Basket of Roses” by French artist Henri Fantin-Latour.

The Chukka and The Era will feature canvas uppers with leather lining and in-soles. The SK8-Hi will feature premium suede/canvas uppers with leather lining and in-soles.

Continuing this custom in 2013, PMK starts the year off with another worlds first, taking the Isabel Marant sneaker wedge to the cobbling block to create a one-of-a-kind design for R&B Royalty and Pop sensation Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. Summoned by King Bee and given the task to create a custom design worthy of her approval, PMK takes the Isabel Marant sneaker wedge back to the beginning of time and gives it what they call the Eden treatment. A hybrid of land and sea skins are used to create this handcrafted creation. Stingray, Ostrich, calfs fur, Crocodile, and Anaconda give the already impeccable design atitude and the tones of white mixed with gold stitched details produces a feeling of elegance, mimicking the southern belle’s sweet and fierce persona. Being a female sneakerhead I am sure this weekend is one to remember for G.O.O.D. Music's first lady Teyana Taylor! The singer launched her personally-designed Adidas Harlem GLC sneaker and they sold out like hotcakes. With label mates Pusha T and Big Sean by her side, the Harlemite signed autographs and performed at Houston’s Galleria Mall where she officially debuted the sneaker. According to Global Director of Entertainer & Influencer Marketing at Adidas Jonathan Wexler, her venture is already a massive success. He tweeted, “MAJOR PROPS to @TEYANATAYLOR for having the fastest selling sneaker in @adidasoriginals history”
