In more Nicki Minaj news, the head Barbie in charge has confirmed the reality TV talk I shared with you a few weeks ago. According to E!, Minaj's first special "Nicki Minaj: My Truth" will grant her fans, "barbz," access to her life behind the songs, videos and more. The series will launch this Sunday, November 4. Hopefully it will be totally different from her MTV doc titled Moment For Life. I'll be tuning in-nonetheless.

WWD reports that Hip-POP super star Nicki Minaj has signed a fragrance licensing deal with Give Back Brands LLC to produce and launch her debut scent, due in department stores this fall, just in time for the hoilday shopping season. Nicki Had this to say about her new endeavor:

“I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances,” the ‘Starships’ singer said. “This is yet another extension of my creative expression. I designed the scent and bottle with my Barbz in mind.”

Yesterday I reported that Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter account after fighting with fans about leaked music. With that said the head Barbie in charge will have to go harder promoting this fragrance, being that I am sure she lost a few Barbz after the spat. The ombre [Ohm-bre] hair trend is definitely not new. Just to recap ombre is just a fancy word for a hair coloring technique where the color is darker at the root and then fades into lighter and brighter highlights as you move down the shaft. The key to getting this trend right is making sure the deeper shade at the root is soft and gradually bleeds out. I remember seeing Aaliyah rocking this style years ago. According to WWD Marc Jacobs has a new beauty project coming soon: color cosmetics. Jacobs, will team up with Sephora to do the line, noted that, while it’s in its early days, he’s pleased to delve into the makeup world. He states;

“Anything to me that is part of the joy, the ritual, of getting dressed — things that women enjoy like bags, shoes, fragrance, clothes, makeup — that’s what fashion’s about for me,”

Jacobs had his first meeting for the color line last week and had this to say about the line “I see makeup, fragrance — everything, really — as an opportunity. The idea of choosing a color for your lip, or an eyeliner — it’s just such a delight. The ritual of waking up and making those choices is something people really enjoy. We currently are working on defining what Marc Jacobs cosmetics will be, what they’ll say, what makes them distinctive. I think that will take some time, but the first meeting was good.” A target launch date has not yet been identified, Jacobs added.
