It's that time again...the season is changing and I have to give you the low down on all the latest trends. I know, I know...I know what you're thinking. Everything is the same and everything repeats itself. And guess what!?! You're right. Fashion just reinvents itself- there's really nothing new anymore. I means seriously- what could be invented that we don't already know about? Lol. Anyway...so I won't say these are the new trends- this is what showed up on the runways this season. In a nutshell here it is...and I've also created some looks that incorporate my top 8 favs!

When you think of floral print you typically think of Spring/Summer but not this season! The amazing print is crossing over into fall/winter. It was all over the runways. The key to this look this season is smaller prints...bolder prints are still in but notice the smaller prints on the blazer and trouser below that I found from www.topshop.com! Florals are worn from head to toes and they can also be used to mix prints as well. So you should definitely have a few floral pieces in your wardrobe for seasons to come!

Monochromatic Vs Color Blocking: Which Do YOU Adore?
06/18/2012 • One of the most hottest trends in fashion is Colorblocking (as seen on the picture on the right). Strategically placed, contrasting, yet complimentary, bold and bright colors paired together to create a unique look has been trending since last year. I love color so I was happy when this trend hit the scene. But now we have the Monochromatic trend popping up. When worn with style, a Monochromatic outfit, can be both unexpected and fashion-forward. To get a better understanding of the word Monochromatic, definition wise, Monochromatic fashion is all about wearing a single color from head to toe(as seen in the picture on the left). It could be any particular color. The best advantage of this mode of fashion is in appearance. Monochromatic dressing sense makes one look slimmer and taller. From Rihanna To Rachel Roy: LOVE For The Silk Pajama Trend Is HERE!

How do you feel about jammies during the day? I consider myself pretty fashion forward but this was one trend that had to grow on me. Just so we are clear I'm talking silky, Clair Huxtable, a little too fly to sleep in jammies. Rihanna attended the ‘Battleship’ premiere at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Japan wearing the silk pajama-style look from Emilio Pucci‘s Fall 2012 collection and tan strappy sandals. I also remember seeing Rachel Roy rocking said pjs on the red carpet at some Hollywood movie premiere last year as well. Although there was an air of wrongness there was definitely something there I liked. Now as I see designers continue to incorporate "the pajama look" into their RTW and Resort lines I don't know why it took me so long to fall in love with this look. It's quintessential "comfortable chic". I'm absolutely a convert and I WILL be rocking PJs this spring! What are your thoughts on this look? ROCK or NOT? Many celebrities from Nicole Richie, Alicia Keys to Kim Kardsahian have been spotted wearing embellished headpieces. I even spotted a picture of Amber Rose who has a bald cut, take part in the trend. These headpieces give off a very boho glam feel. The statement piece can liven up any simple hairstyle i.e straight hair, loose curls and or even a pulled back bun, whatever your vice may be. In the photo above the beautiful A.Keys is wearing a lovely pendant headpiece by Chanel.Lacefront consumers please stay far way from this trend. And actually throw all of your lakefronts away ASAP!! I'm not normally a sneaker girl. Outside of the Sauconys I bought to run in (well walk/run) I don't own any. I'm sure that it goes without saying that when Marc By Marc Jacobs and Isabel Marant showed sneakers in their spring 2012 collections I didn't initially pay very much attention. I now stand before you a changed woman (queue "Around the Way Girl" by LL)! The re-emergence of the wedge sneaker has (especially the high-top versions) is absolutely urban chic incarnate.
