Stoppppppppp Theif: Young Designer Jessica Rogers Spots Nicki Minaj Rocking A Knock Off Copy of Her ‘Puff Ball’ Fashion; Rogers Says She Was ‘In Tears’ Over It

09/15/2011 • Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj sat front row along side Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, at Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2012 runway show. The net began to buzz about her outfit of choice, which had been a bright neon dress covered in what many describe as gumballs. However it turns out those “gumballs” were actually “puff balls” and the design was a rip off from a young designer named Jessica Rogers. Rogers is only 21, and burst into tears when she came across pictures of Nicki Minaj at the show. Rogers said. “I’ve worked very hard to make my dream of being a fashion designer come true. I have built contacts with Teen Vogue, Gaga, Katy Perry, and Marina and the Diamonds has worn my garments. [Now,] I feel like everything has crumbled down.” Poor girl.
