D’Angelo Set to Perform at the BET Awards 2012

06/21/2012 • Yes you've read it correctly!! BET announced this morning that D’Angelo will hit the stage at the 11th annual award show next month. It will mark the R&B soul singer’s first televised performance in over 12 years. I pray he does well! This reminds of the movie Dream Girls, when Jimmy Early got on stage and made a complete fool of himself. Save the pelvic thrust for the bedroom D’Angelo and welcome back Mr.sexy!!

This year’s awards show will air on Sunday, July 1 live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. EST, hosted by Samuel L. Jackson. Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Usher, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and G.O.O.D. Music are all set to perform as well. Although we always talk about BET and their Ghetto antics, I am sure we will all be tuning in. LOL.
