Today Comedic Actor Charlie Murphy, also the older brother of Eddie Murphy, passed away at the age of 57.

It was reported by TMZ that Charlie died from leukemia Wednesday morning in a NYC hospital. His manager stated that he'd been going undergoing chemotherapy. His death shocked the family because they thought he was getting better.

Charlie famously co-starred on "Chappelle's Show" in some of Dave's most memorable skits ... including the nights Charlie partied with Rick James and Prince.

Charlie also co-wrote some of Eddie Murphy's movies, like "Norbit" and "Vampire in Brooklyn." He co-starred in "Are We There Yet?," "The Boondocks" and "Black Jesus."
He recently toured with Cedric the Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, George Lopez and D.L. Hughley on "The Comedy Get Down."

Charlie's wife, Tisha Taylor Murphy, died in 2009 from cervical cancer. They had 2 children, and he had another from a previous relationship.

Eddie Murphy is expecting his ninth child, his first with longtime girlfriend Paige Butcher.

The couple “are pleased to announce that they are expecting a child in May,” Murphy’s rep told Page Six.
- Murphy, 54, and Butcher, 36, have kept the details of their four-year relationship largely under wraps.

Telling Vanity Fair in 2013, Butcher explained her reason for staying away from social media. “I’m in a relationship with a celebrity, so I felt like there’s already enough of me out there,” she added. “I felt like I was giving out too much information. I was giving people too much access. I like to keep as much private as possible now.”

The pair is often seen making Starbucks runs in Los Angeles. They were last seen together in Washington, DC, in October, where Murphy was honored with the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

Murphy and his ex-wife, reality star Nicole Murphy, have five children together: Bria, 25, Myles, 22, Shayne, 21, Zola, 15, and Bella, 13. Murphy has a 26-year-old son, Eric, with Paulette McNeely and a 25-year-old son with Tamara Hood. Murphy is also the parent of an 8-year-old girl, Angel, with former Spice Girl Mel B.
