Bad gal Rih Rih will be honored at BET'S Black Girls Rock! 2016 event. The international pop star + style icon + entrepreneur will be this year's Rock Star Recipient at the annual event, that honors woman of color in the fields of entertainment, philanthropy, sports and community service.

Among the honorees are soul icon Gladys Knight:Living Legend Award, television producer Shonda Rhimes :Shot Caller Award, The Walking Dead actress Danai Gurira :Star Power Award, actress and activist Amandla Stenberg: Young Gifted and Black Award and Black Lives Matter founders Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Opal Tometi: Community Change Agent Award.

The Black Girls Rock! 2016 event, with host Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross, will be taped on April 1st at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, N.J. for broadcast on April 5th at 8PM ET on BET.
