Drake scored five Grammy nominations on Monday, but his recent hit "Hotline Bling" was noticeably absent.

The song is his biggest hit on the charts, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and spawned memes galore, so why was it snubbed from the Grammys?

Well, according to music-news site Hits Daily Double, it wasn't that "Hotline Bling" didn't have its fans. Instead, the song "was not submitted, due to a clerical error on the part of label Cash Money."

Even without "Hotline Bling" being submitted, Drake earned nominations for "Back to Back" and "Energy," as well as Nicki Minaj's "Truffle Butter" and "Only," on which he's featured. His album "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" was also nominated for Best Rap Album.

But with one of the biggest hip-hop songs of the year that's impossible to miss in "Hotline Bling," he surely would've had a much better chance if someone had remembered to do the paperwork.

Last night BET's annual "BET Honors" gala aired on BET. The show celebrates and acknowledges the achievements of African American. This year the show honored Usher, Microsoft chairman John Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, National Museum of African Art director Johnnetta B. Cole, and Kanye West.

Kanye West was presented with the Visionary Award. Damon Dash was one of the men that put Ye on and Dame introduced West with a heartfelt speech. Many people felt Yeezy speech was all over the place. The nominees for Best Original Song were announced today and includes; Common and John Legend's "Glory" from Selma, the Lonely Island/Tegan and Sara for "Everything Is Awesome" from The Lego Movie, Rita Ora's "Grateful" from Beyond the Lights, "Lost Stars" from "Begin Again". First the duo took home a Golden Globe Award for their dynamic track 'Glory' from the movie Selma. Today, Thursday (Jan.15) the rapper and singer have been nominated for an Oscar at the 87th Academy Awards.
