Nothing really to report here- looks boring, huh!?! Well you already know I'm not too concerned with celebrity drama- just fashion. Rihanna was spotted outside her apartment just chilling! She rocked a simple outfit- a stripped maxi dress paired with a black tote bag and Converse sneakers. Simple as that! But this is a perfect day outfit. Although the season is changing this look can transition for Fall as well. Just add a denim jacket to the mix and you're set. I've recreated RiRi's look for less below. Nicki Minaj is a mess, OMG! Lol. This chick will wear anything to keep us talking and guess what!?! It works everytime because we are talking about it right now, lol. She was recently spotted arriving to the American Idol auditions in this ummmmm...outfit. Nicki wore a white blazer, floral bralet, skinny jeans, silver jewelry, black nails, and these insane UNIF Hellbound Platform Boots ($242). I bet they are sold out now that she' rocked them. And do we have to mention her colorful wig!?! Let's not even go there. I mean I really love Nicki but her style is so crazy. Kim Kardashian was spotted recently about to catch a flight to Austraila! As always, her airport style was on point. Although I recently heard she switched stylists from Monica Rose to Kanye's stylist- Renelou Padora. Kanye brought her in to help update Kim's wardrobe and it recently aired on her show. Honestly, I was just getting use to the styles of Monica Rose and now Kim has did a 180. Her new style is pretty much all black, gray, and white...but she did surprise us at the airport rocking this bold floral jacket by Balmain. It's a kray $3,835! Whoa! Has anyone mastered the mixed prints trend this season? Whether you have or not, love it or hate...its an extremely hard trend to get right. If you need help definitely check out my article THE ART OF MIXING PRINTS on www.etcblogmag.com! But for a mini lesson let's check out Solange who is the Queen of Mixing Prints! She recently was spotted in NYC at the Alexander Wang after party rocking this look- embellished palazzo pants, a printed top, denim jacket, a bright messenger bag, and a Babatunde hat. The hat is from an African designer...Solange recently shot a video there and must have come across the designer.

I haven't found their official website but here's their facebook in case you're interested in their hats. When looking at Solange's outfit there is really no method to her madness...and that's what I love about her. But to master this trend keep this in mind...for the look for less I first started with this navy printed palazzo pants, added a stripped shirt that has both navy and white which I pulled from the pants. That is the key to mixing prints...you can mix any print you want but make sure the colors are similar. I then pulled the pink print from the pants to find this amazing bright messenger bag. Finally, I added a brown hat, brown & navy wedges, and simple jewelry. So we are definitely mixing prints but for some reason it just flows. What do you think of mixing prints? Did we nail it?

Get Her Look For Less: Angela Simmons’ Sweatshirt Dress

Angela Simmons usually doesn't do much when it comes to my style senses, lol...but she has been "doin' it" during fashion week. I'm officially a style fan! She has shown so much originality and versatility in NYC. And speaking of being original...Angela rocked this sweatshirt dress with printed detailed sleeves at the Cynthia Rowley Spring 2013 Show (Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week). She pulled colors from the sleeves to finish up her look by adding the blue messenger bag, yellow pumps, a multi-color bracelet, a red ring, red lips, and red nails. That is a style tip that everyone should take notes on. When you wear a printed item you can easily take colors from the print and spread it throughout your outfit to make it look fresh and not too "matchy matchy". So...I've also styled a look for less inspired by Angela Simmons below. I found a simple gray sweater dress and if you wanted to get Angela's sleeves you could replace them by making this a DIY project. This may be a good DIY post we will put up in the near future. Rihanna loves Il Ristorante di Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica...she has been spotted here on several occassions with a few days ago being her last sighting. And more importantly she is rocking her new short 'do. I love it. This is the edgy and fashionable Rihanna that I've missed so much. The outfit of choice was a graphic/printed sweater, black denim cutoffs, ankle booties, a leather tote bag, purple lips instead of red, and some edgy accessories. She looks really laid back and I really like the overall look. I've recreated a look for less inspired by RiRi below. What do you think about the new fall trend- graphic sweaters? Dang, you can catch all the latest trends by hanging out at the airport knowadays. Reality TV personality and Kanye's girl, Kim Kardashian was seen at LAX recently looking stylish, as usual. Although lately her style has changed so much. Her stylist was Monica Rose but from the looks of it I don't think she is styling her anymore. Don't quote us on this because I'm not really sure...its just an observation. Kim rocked a wool contrast dress, black leather boots, a leather tote, and sunglasses (at night LOL). Nah, but for real celebs probably need sunglasses at all times because of all the flash from paparrazzi cameras. Overall, I really like the concept behind this look and it was pretty simple to recreate. Below is a look for less which I styled for you. I added a pop of color with red lipstick as an added bonus! Jennifer Lopez was recently spotted in her fav place- NYC! She was snapped by the paparrazzi leaving her hotel rocking this a-mazing cream color jumpsuit. It's so flattering on her figure and she is styled to perfection. At first glance one may think that the the color is used too much in one outfit but I think because of the fit that there is no need for a pop of color. The entire look is cream and it works. When you do wear a simple color like this you should definitely rock accessories like J-Lo! She is rocking her signature aviators, studs, an over sized bracelet and/or watch, platform pumps, and nude make-up.
