Jay-Z continues to make monumental moves as he made history in New York City last night, performing the first of two sold-out shows at Carnegie Hall. I was on twitter losing it as I read the tweets of those who were in attendance. From what I read and the twitpics I saw the show was AMAZING. Stylist June Ambrose had my guy looking SUPER GQ as he sported a white tux for his opening act. With a live orchestra and special guest appearances by Nas and Alicia Keys it’s safe to save Hov rocked Carnegie Hall. Throughout the evening tribute segments to Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Gil-Scott Heron, and the NY Giants were played and displayed on the main stage’s backdrop. The night was also a first as Jay-Z performed his first-born dedication, “Glory” was done live. Ticket sales from the Carnegie Hall shows will benefit the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation and the United Way of New York.
