Geraldo Rivera Blames Hoodies For Trayvon Martin Shooting

By now you’ve probably heard the tragic story of Trayvon Martin—the 17-year-old Florida high school student who was shot by neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman on his way back from a snack run to 7-Eleven. George called 911 because he thought he was “up to no good” and followed Trayvon against the dispatcher’s orders. Trayvon was wearing a hoodie (it was raining that day) and was unarmed, but as George approached him, he pushed him to the ground, fired his gun and killed Trayvon at the scene. We all are trying to unerstand WHY was this young man killed. But Geraldo think he may have the answer… Trayvon’s outfit choice may have had a hand in his death. So you mean to tell me, that he got killed because of his hoodie and NOT because of this trigger happy toy cop wanting to prove a point? FOH!! Click HERE to read the full story.

  1. Hoodies are a part of our culture now. I’m rocking a VS Love Pink one right now, and I’ll probably wear a different one tomorrow. They’re warm and comfortable… like a universal snuggie. Anyway, we now have to teach our children that they cannot identify with pop culture the way that others do because they’ll get shot? How about tell Geraldo to shave his ‘stache so he won’t be profiled as a terrorist and detained by airport security? I don’t think that would go over very well. The bottom line is, regardless of what assumptions people make because of a clothing choice, no one deserves to die because of it.

My thing is he was ADVISED to do NOTHING and wait for an officer. He even responded to the dispatcher with an “OK”. Simple math..give him LIFE in jail, without parole.
