According to Mtv.com One of the co-founders of Roc-A-Fella Records, Kareem "Biggs" Burke, was sentenced to five years in prison on Monday after pleading guilty to conspiring to distribute more than 100 kilos of marijuana.
The New York Daily News reports, Biggs was snared as part of a dragnet dubbed "Operation Green Venom," in which 50 people were arrested for conspiracy to distribute marijuana in a coordinated sting that included New York's Department of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the New York Police Department, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in New York and the Special Narcotics Prosecutor's office.
Burke was caught via a wiretap discussing activities at a grow house with the ring's leader. Prosecutors alleged that the drugs were being grown using hydroponic systems in Florida and California and later smuggled into New York and sold on the street.
During his sentencing, Biggs promised Manhattan Federal Court Judge Loretta Swain that she would never see him in court again. She replied that it was nothing personal, but, "I'm going to keep you to that promise." Burke, 38, was arrested in the case in October 2010 as part of a sting operation focusing on a marijuana trafficking operation that distributed weed to customers in New York, New Jersey and Florida. Biggs faced a mandatory minimum sentence of five to 40 years on the charges and was forced to forfeit $15,000 in cash, his $600,000 New Jersey house and a BMW as part of his plea deal.

According to Gucci’s court filings this includes the green and red stripe design, the square G, the designer’s name in flowing script and a diamond pattern with repeating interlocking G’s. Guess' doesn't quite see it that way. They claim Gucci “sat on its rights” for seven years prior to suing. It's their belief that if they, Guess, were doing something wrong why did Gucci wait so long to file??? more

George called 911 because he thought he was "up to no good" and followed Trayvon against the dispatcher's orders. Trayvon was wearing a hoodie (it was raining that day) and was unarmed, but as George approached him, he pushed him to the ground, fired his gun and killed Trayvon at the scene. We all are trying to unerstand WHY was this young man killed. But Geraldo think he may have the answer... Trayvon's outfit choice may have had a hand in his death. So you mean to tell me, that he got killed because of his hoodie and NOT because of this trigger happy toy cop wanting to prove a point? FOH!! Click HERE to read the full story. more
