WWD reports that Hip-POP super star Nicki Minaj has signed a fragrance licensing deal with Give Back Brands LLC to produce and launch her debut scent, due in department stores this fall, just in time for the hoilday shopping season. Nicki Had this to say about her new endeavor:
-
“I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances,” the ‘Starships’ singer said. “This is yet another extension of my creative expression. I designed the scent and bottle with my Barbz in mind.”
-
Yesterday I reported that Nicki Minaj deleted her Twitter account after fighting with fans about leaked music. With that said the head Barbie in charge will have to go harder promoting this fragrance, being that I am sure she lost a few Barbz after the spat. Anyway, stay tuned for a crazy ad campaign from Minaj because we all know hunnie is La Loca..lol...congrats.
Do "real men" wear animal print? I'm sure no one is surprised to see Kanye or Lil Wayne in said variety and even if at one point we cared I think that we, "The viewing public" have quickly become immune to their antics. My question is about the average Joe Schmo. I've said it before and I'm sure you agree, celebs get "a pass". They do, say and wear a lot of things that you and I couldn't pull off. With that being said, how would you feel about famous men wearing animal print. More importantly, how do you feel about the Average Joe wearing animal print? More pics inside...
FAME.... it ain't for EVERYBODY, Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose set down with GQ Magazine and spoke about the celebrity status that goes along with being the biggest star in his hometown and how it makes him uncomfortable and doesn't fit his personality.
-
"Sometimes it's too much," Rose told GQ Magazine in a story posted on its website Tuesday.
-
"Chicago isn't used to stardom. Back when Michael [Jordan] was here, everyone was used to actors and singers and people being at the games. But there's been a drought since then, and even celebrities, they'll stop here to film a movie and then pop right back out. They don't know how to act toward celebrity. So I always have someone with me. I can have a hat on, glasses on, whatever. People still notice me. If I go outside without a hat on, I feel like I'm naked."
-
Rose, who won two state titles at Simeon Career Academy in Chicago, played one season at Memphis before his hometown Bulls made him the No. 1 pick in the 2008 NBA draft. The quiet and reserved point guard experienced immediate success, winning Rookie of the Year and leading the Bulls to the playoffs. His profile -- locally and nationally -- has risen each year since with three NBA All-Star Game appearances, an impressive performance with Team USA in 2010, a 14-year endorsement deal with adidas worth a reported $250 million and an NBA MVP award last season at 22, making him the youngest recipient of the award in history.
- Rose told GQ that the more success he has on the court, the tougher it gets for him to deal with his fame. Now that's deep. I hope he remains mentally healthy; because fame is like a drug and we all know how things can go left quick! Click HERE to read the full story.
The world went crazy last night as some watched the live streams from Coachella, where Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre brought Tupac back..NO REALLY...Pac performed at Coachella! Due to technology being so AMAZING, Tupac hit the stage in hologram form and gave everyone CHILLS. I keep looking at the video like, Tupac IS NOT DEAD!! Do you think this is the future of hip-hop concerts? I guess we will see who'll be the first to do a hologram Biggie, Jay or Diddy?!? Thanks to missinfo and Nigel D./RealTalkNY for posting the images/videos. Head inside to see the Snoop and Pac performance.

Yesterday Nicki Minaj had a baby meltdown and deleted her Twitter over all the negativity from a certain fan site that leaked her music. Not sure if you can completely "delete" your account, but hunnie had over eleven million followers, so I am sure she'll come back like she never left. You can’t do the barbz like that Nick because they go super hard for you! Check the site’s owner directly don't leave your die hard stans. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded in stores now.
Power couple Jay-Z and Beyonce attended a game between the Miami Heat and New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden yesterday in New York City. Jay rocked the Nike Lebron 9 "Mangos" and Bey rocked a pair of A.L.C. Elson Leopard Silk-Crepe Tapered Pants, pairing them with a black off-the-shoulder sweater, Linda Farrow x The Row oversized round sunglasses and Eugenia Kim Lauren Wide Brim Fedora in black. She put on a pair of Christian Louboutin Unbout Illusion pumps in orange to complete her look. I love how she likes to wear similar colors to compliment Jay Love them!!! Head inside to see additional pics.
