Love & Hip-Hop’s cast member Olivia stopped by 106 & Park to discuss what she’s been up to musically (she has a single and a video out now titled “Walk Away”) as well as her current cash cow Love & Hip Hop (she said there would be a 3rd season). I was recently reminded that sometimes my delivery can be quite harsh so I want to discuss Olivia’s style choices via what is often referred to as a “Praise Sandwich“.
Compliment: I love and admire Olivia’s tenacity. After she was dropped from J Records and then G – Unit she could have given up but she didn’t. She could have turned to drugs or become an industry whore but she didn’t. She get’s nothing but respect from me for that.
Criticism: Now on to this white neoprene jacket (yes, the stuff that dry suits are made out of) and her color blocking FAIL! Does Olivia have a stylist? If re-branding herself is that important she needs to either get one or get a new one. Just yesterday I asked if Ms. June Ambrose could lend a helping hand to her network mates. Today it’s clear that we are going to have to find a way to make this dream into a reality! I mean couldn’t VH1 foot the bill? I digress, the colors that Olivia (or her stylist?) chose work well together but not in the proportions they are in and even more than that the fit was completely off!! Yes, I know it wasn’t completely hideous but really she looks like she poured herself into those jeans (and not in the sexy “Daamn mama how you get in those jeans” way). If you still don’t see it look at the fit in the crotch and the knee caps…nuff said.
Compliment: Her skin always looks flawless and her hair always looks healthy.
